Welcome to Baby Dazzlers!
We are a mail order company offering wonderful and innovative toys to help young children develop through play. We supply the whole package: - Free advice and information about child development and carefully selected developmental, educational and fun toys - from birth through to 5 years of age.
How and why we formed…
In 2002, Annaliese Hartley - the founder, gave up her career as a Psychology Lecturer to have her first child. Because he was her first she didn’t have much of an idea as to what kind of toys to buy for him and indeed where the best places were to purchase them. In the high street toy shops that she did visit she found it very difficult to choose anything for her child because there was so much to choose from and very little in the way of help and expert advice.
In point of fact – when her child was six months old and showing no signs of crawling I visited a high street store and asked them to recommend something. Much to her disappointment all the assistants were able to do was to read the boxes and tell her what age each toy was suitable for – not how that toy would benefit her child. Wanting someone to give her a solution to the problem – eg, if you buy X toy and do this and that with your child he will be sitting up in no time. But unfortunately she couldn’t find this type of help nor advice anywhere.
Subsequently Baby Dazzlers was launched in 2003 as a response to the lack of good quality developmental and educational toys and a lack of relevant help and information about child development.
Our Philosophy…
Like all parents - here at Baby Dazzlers we want the very best for our children and want to feel happy that we are doing our utmost for them. Driven by this philosophy, we have carefully selected beautiful, fun toys and products that are suitable for your child’s specific age and at the same time – are beneficial in some way to your child’s development. We pride ourselves on the fact that our products are of the finest quality, that they come from reputable manufactures and, in most cases, they are not common place in the High Street. All our products have been individually selected to meet the specified developmental needs of your baby or young child.
What we do…
Using our knowledge here at Baby Dazzlers we have taken the 5 key areas of development: - Intelligence, Social & Emotional, Language, Movement and Fine Motor skills and given you an overview of the significant aspects of your child’s development from 0 – 4 years old. We then suggest specific toys that will stimulate your child’s development in all of the above 5 key areas of development. So essentially we are able to help you decide what product you should buy and why you should buy it - because we are able to tell you how that toy will help your child’s development.
